Management

Dr Raoul Hille has been the sole director of Hannover Airport since 2004.
He was born in Bremen, Germany. After he studied Industrial Engineering and Business Studies and his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.), he began his career in the Strategic Development Department of the Deutsche Lufthansa in Cologne in 1989. In 1991, he took over the management of a project corporation in Frankfurt and in 1993, he became director general of the "Joint Venture Airport Moskau" in Moscow.
In 1994, Dr. Hille was promoted to regional director of Lufthansa for western Germany with their headquarters in Dusseldorf. In 1997, he became direct report to the managing board at Lufthansa headquarters in Frankfurt. His position was head of the Corporate Portfolio Management.
In 1998, he became the managing director of the wholly-owned Lufthansa subsidiary GlobeGround, which offers ground traffic services and has got more than 60 affiliated companies.
Dr. Raoul Hille became the head of the managing board of Start Amadeus in Bad Homburg, Germany, in October 2000.

Shareholders
Since 1952, the city of Hanover and the federal state of Lower Saxony have been shareholders of the Flughafen Hannover-Langenhagen GmbH.
In 1998, the Fraport and Nord/LB joined in, which reduced the shares of the city of Hanover and the federal state of Lower Saxony by 15% each.
In 2001, the Fraport AG acquired the shares of Nord/LB.
In October 2018, iCON Infrastructure bought the shares of Fraport AG.
